Insight Series Q&A Forum Speaker:

Austin Thomas is an artist, curator and community builder. A graduate of NYU, Thomas has exhibited nationally and internationally in Singapore, Australia, and Hungary and at the Kunsthalle Exnergasse in Vienna. In New York she has exhibited at the Drawing Center, the Sculpture Center, White Columns and is represented by Undercurrent Projects located in the East Village. She writes frequently on her online journal titled, "Drawing on the Utopia," and co-directs a gallery (reopening scheduled for September 2015). In the fall of 2015 her permanent public sculpture for a new park in Brooklyn will be unveiled. She has also done public commissions for the Public Art Fund and Grinnell College. Thomas' work is featured in the book titled "Living and Sustaining a Creative Life: Essays by 40 Working Artists.”


Insight Series Q&A Forum Moderator:

Adrienne Outlaw, Founder of Seed Space, is a socially engaged artist whose work addresses issues of individual and communal health, especially in such areas as neuroethics and bioethics. Taking inspiration from consumer driven changes in food and drug policies, it is her goal to create experiences in which we can imagine solutions and start a sea change.
